Level II Instructor Training Course Week 1 (UNG PSA) 2024-10-28 - 2024-11-01 Stephens County Training Facility 1605 Scenic Dr, Toccoa, GA 30577, USAClass Begins: at 0830 -1730 Class Dates: The class will physically meet on weeks 1 & 3 October 28th - November 1st (Week 1) & November 11th - November 15th (Week 3) Course Hours: 80 Course Description: This course is designed for the public safety officer who instructs in performance-oriented training and is responsible for lesson plan development. Topics range from instructor liability and lesson plan design to testing and evaluation of learning. Each student writes an original lesson plan on an approved public safety topic during the course and develops the presentation skills necessary to deliver that lesson. Prerequisites: Three years of public safety experience. Students must not have any active POST Investigations or be in probationary status with POST. Special Notes: Each agency is limited to two applicants per course offering. Applications do not roll over to the next available date. Applicants not accepted must apply for another course date. Training officers, please provide a current email address for all registered students. Students will receive an email at least one week prior to the start of the course with instructions. Printed materials will not be issued in class, and students will be provided the materials on day one. Seats are limited to 12, and no walk-ins will be permitted.
