Welcome to the Stephens County Sheriff's Office Training Unit! We will offer a wide variety of 2 hour to 16 hour inservice training classes, as well as specialty 16 to 40 hour classes through the Georgia Peace Officer Training and Standards Council. Directions to the Training Office and a schedule of classes are accessible through the links to the left. To register for a class we are offering, email us at the link below.

The Training Unit is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and teaching inservice training for the Sheriff's Office. They also schedule Deputies for off-site training at regional police academies and the Georgia Public Safety Training Center, manage and operate the firing range, oversee the hiring process, create and maintain lesson plans, and organize and teach community programs such as the Citizen's Law Enforcement Academy.

Lt. Andy Myers heads the Training Unit for the Stephens County Sheriff's Office.
